EDCAB to hold Virtual Currency & Blockchain Expo in the European Parliament

EDCAB - the European Digital Currency & Blockchain Technology Forum - will hold a 4-day expo inside the European Parliament in Brussels during the week of 18 April 2016. Hosted by Syed Kamall, MEP for London and Chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, the third largest political group in the European Parliament, the expo sets out to inform the 751 European Union legislators about virtual currencies and distributed ledgers.

The event, to be held from 18th to 21st April 2016, in the centre of the parliament building, is being organised by EDCAB in association with the Cobden Centre, an independent educational charity undertaking research into economic and political science.

MEPs pass virtual currencies and blockchain report

The European Parliament's influential Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs voted overwhelmingly to adopt its virtual currencies and blockchain report this morning (Tuesday 26 April 2016), paving the way for a vote of the full parliament at May's plenary meeting.
